Strong Converse Inequality for Bernstein Operators in weighted uniform norm

Abstract

In the present paper, we introduce a new weighted $K$-functional and uses it to obtain strong inverse inequalities in the weighted norm for a class of modified Bernstein operators that can approximate functions with singularities.
