Critical exponent for a free boundary problem with a nonlocal reaction term

Abstract

This study investigates the dynamical behavior of the reaction-diffusion equation with an exponential nonlocal reaction term and free boundaries in one-dimensional space. Some sufficient conditions of the finite time blow-up and vanishing of the solution are first given. Then we propose a sharp threshold trichotomy result for distinguishing between blow-up, vanishing, and transition of the solution.
