A modified USSOR method for solving the rank deficient linear least squares problem

Abstract

The USSOR method has been presented for solving the rank deficient linear least squares problem in the [18]. However, the convergence rate is relatively slow, and optimal parameter has not been presented. To improve the convergence rate, we develop the modified USSOR(MUSSOR) method for solving the rank deficient linear least squares problem. Meanwhile, the convergence and optimal parameter of the MUSSOR method are presented. Numerical examples illustrate the efficiency and feasibility of our theoretical analysis.
